Testing – The new 2019 specification front wings have seen the first light of day, with Williams & Force India both testing it out at the Hungaroring.
There have been some aerodynamic changes made for the 2019 rules, with the front and rear wing particularly falling under scrutiny as F1 aims to improve the ability of the cars to follow each other and to help with overtaking.
For next year, the front wings will become much simpler. While they are set to become slightly wider (up to 2000mm from the current 1800mm – Racecar Engineering), the changes are aimed at reducing the outwash which disrupts the airflow for the car behind.

Williams, Force India & Red Bull Racing have already appeared on track sporting the new front wing, while Ferrari may also be testing it out later today.
