Alfa Romeo will take the covers off their 2020 car on the opening morning of testing in the pitlane at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya.
Alfa Romeo’s 2020 season will launch just forty five minutes ahead of pre-season testing getting underway, as they will pull the covers off their C39 in the pitlane of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Like last year, Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi will reveal the new car to waiting media as testing gets underway just over half an hour after the launch. The team confirmed the launch date on Friday, posting the details on their social media channels.
Alfa Romeo head into this new season with a new co-title sponsor, as Polish fuel company PKN Orlen have signed up alongside Alfa’s ownership of the Sauber team. Orlen come on board on the back of the team signing former Williams driver Robert Kubica as a reserve driver for the season. Kubica made his debut in Formula 1 with the Hinwil team back in 2006, when they were BMW-Sauber.
Alfa are the latest team to confirm their launch plans, joining Ferrari, Alpha Tauri, McLaren, Renault, Racing Point and Mercedes. For the full list of scheduled launch dates, click here.
The first day of testing has become even more interesting. 🤩
