Billy Monger was told on Tuesday morning that he was given the chance to test a Formula 1 car at the Rockingham Circuit in the UK.
Monger now races in F3, having recovered from serious leg injuries in a Formula 4 at Donington Park last year. Now using prosthetics, he races using hand controls.
A 2011 Sauber C30, albeit without the original Ferrari V8 engine, has been prepared for him to test at Rockingham, where the Tour De Force Power Engineering HeritageF1 restoration team surprised him with the news that he was to drive the car.

He has already completed a seat fitting and a talk through with instructor Johnny Herbert, and is scheduled to run through Tuesday afternoon.
