Formula 3 driver Christian Lundgaard took part in a day of testing with Renault at the Jerez Circuit in Spain on Wednesday.
The 18 year old Danish racing driver Christian Lundgaard had the opportunity to take part in a day of testing with Renault at Jerez on Wednesday.
Signed to the Renault Sport Academy since 2017, Lundgaard raced in Formula 3 with ART in 2019 and finished sixth overall with a race win at the Hungaroring during the summer.
Having had a chance to test with Renault in a 2017 R.S17 at the Hungaroring in September, he was back behind the wheel of the two year old F1 car for another day of acclimatisation with the French team.
Over the day, he completed 106 laps of Jerez with a total of 465 kilometres completed.
“I had a good day in Jerez with a lot of laps completed.” he said afterwards. “I was really happy to be here and I want to thank Renault for giving me another opportunity in a Formula 1 car. It’s always a pleasure to drive this car on a race track and continue learning more about it and how to drive it. I felt like I improved since my last test in September and I’m growing more comfortable each time I step in the car. For me, I have the Macau Grand Prix to prepare for next and I can’t wait to head out there for that!”
