In a media day with team principal Mattia Binotto, sporting director, Laurent Mekies, and Marco Matassa, Head of the FDA Technical Area, Ferrari introduced their junior drivers ahead of 2019.

Along with Mick Schumacher, Briton Callum Ilott and Frenchman Giuliano Alesi – the son of former Ferrari race-winner Jean Alesi – will also represent the Scuderia this year as well as compete in the Formula Two Championship, racing for Charouz Racing System and Trident respectively.

New Zealander Marcus Armstrong and Russian Robert Schwarzmann will both race for Prema in the inaugural Formula Three Championship, which takes the place of the GP3 Series.

Enzo Fitipaldi, the grandson of two-time Formula One champion Emerson Fittipaldi, continues his association with the academy, taking part in the inaugural Formula Regional European Championship with Prema in 2019.

Gianluca Petecof Will also race with Prema and continue his development in the Formula 4 Championships in Germany and Italy.

Long-time academy member Antonio Fuoco stays with the team and takes on additional mentoring roles, although he is yet to fully confirm his plans for 2019. He was involved in the Marrakesh rookie Formula E driver test earlier this month.
