Monaco Grand Prix – Both Pierre Gasly and Antonio Giovinazzi have received three-place grid drop penalties for blocking during qualifying.
Red Bull Racing’s Gasly and Alfa Romeo’s Giovinazzi will start the Monaco Grand Prix three places lower than their qualifying position after both being found guilty of blocking during qualifying.
Giovinazzi was called to the stewards for impeded Renault’s Nico Hulkenberg during the first part of qualifying, whilst Gasly prevented Haas’ Romain Grosjean from completing a flying lap in the second part of the session.
As a result, Gasly will start the race from eighth place, with Haas’ Kevin Magnussen, Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo and Toro Rosso’s Daniil Kvyat all being promoted one place.
Giovinazzi will be demoted to eighteenth, which promotes Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll (both Racing Point).
