Haas are the first team to announce their planned driver line-up for the upcoming tests in Barcelona, with both race drivers and reserve Pietro Fittipaldi set to drive.
Haas were the first team to launch their 2019 season when they revealed the VF-19 in London last week, and now the American team are ahead of the pack when it comes to announcing their testing plans as well.
Having already touched down in Barcelona at the Circuit de Catalunya, Haas plan on running both of their race drivers Kevin Magnussen & Romain Grosjean while also giving their reserve Pietro Fittipaldi some track time.
Fittipaldi is a cousin of former F1 racer Christian, and is the grandson of legendary World Champion Emerson. He made his debut testing with Haas last season, running in the post-season Pirelli tyre tests at Yas Marina in Abu Dhabi.
Romain Grosjean has been given the privilege of driving the Haas VF-19 for the opening day in Spain, before handing over to Magnussen for Day 2.
Day 3 will be split between Grosjean & Fittipaldi, with Day 4 split between Magussen & the young Brazilian. This means the test is split fairly between all three, with the race drivers obviously getting more time in the car than the reserve.
Fittipaldi isn’t being called back for duty for the second test the following week, with Grosjean & Magnussen splitting the workload between them equally.
