Monaco Grand Prix – The annual F1 all star football match line-up has had a few sizeable sign-ups ahead of Tuesday’s game.
The annual football match played ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix weekend is into its 26th year, with this year’s match scheduled for Tuesday 22nd May at 6:30pm at the Lucien Rhein Stadium in Menton, outside Monte Carlo.
The charity event sees stars, mostly from the world of motorsport, team up to take on the Star Team Monaco.
Mika Hakkinen, two time F1 World Champion, has signed up to take part. Felipe Massa, who seems keen to be involved in everything going at the moment, is also scheduled to play. Pierre Gasly & Charles Leclerc are both signed up, with Leclerc being a local to the area.
Giancarlo Fisichella, Ivan Capelli, Vitantonio Liuzzi, Maro Engel, Jack Aitken, Sean Gelael, Sergio Sette Camara, Louis Deletraz & Johnny Cecotto are all also named as players from motorsport while Kristian Ghedina is also named – Ghedina being a successful Italian skier.
All funds raised at the event will go to Monaco Collectif Humanitaire. The match will be shown live on Sky Sports F1 from 6:30pm local time.
