Lewis Hamilton launches helmet design competition

Lewis Hamilton has offered fans the chance to design his race helmet for the 2017 season.

The Briton is looking for fans to design a helmet which is an evolution of his current design. The chosen winner will receive a full-size replica of the helmet, which will be presented by Lewis Hamilton at one of the races this year.

“I’m on the look out for a dope new layout that evolves my current theme and features the candy apple red in my existing design,” specified Hamilton on Instagram. “I’ll be picking the design that I feel is the most stylish, inspiring, iconic and eye-catching.

“I will meet the winner personally at one of the tracks to present them with the prize of a full size signed replica helmet.”

Entries for the competition close at midday (UK time) on 6th February 2017.
