Former F1 World Champion Jenson Button has announced that he is set to get married again, after proposing to long term girlfriend Brittny Ward.
Button, who was previously married to Jessica Michibata, split up amicably with the Japanese model after just 12 months of marriage in 2015. They had been together since 2009, the year of Button’s World Championship.
He and Brittny Ward, a model who has appeared in Playboy, have been together since 2016.
Button, who is in France competing in his first Le Mans 24 Hours this weekend with SMP Racing in the LMP1 class, took to Instagram on Tuesday evening to announce his engagement. He, along with his new fiancee, both posted a picture of themselves simply saying ‘Soon to be Mrs. Button!’. They haven’t announced any further details just yet.
The hugely popular F1 star retired from F1 at the end of the 2016 season, although made a one off appearance to replace Fernando Alonso at the 2017 Monaco Grand Prix when his former teammate opted to race at the Indy 500. He has now committed full time to the World Endurance Championship.
