Typhoon Hagibis

Formula 1 has confirmed that Saturday’s track action will not be going ahead, as a result of Typhoon Hagibis hitting the circuit. FP3 has been cancelled entirely, while Qualifying will now go ahead on Sunday morning at 10am local time. This has been done with the safety of everyone, spectators and Formula 1 personnel, in mind.

Steiner summoned before the stewards

Haas team boss Guenther Steiner has been summoned before the Japanese GP race stewards as a result of comments he made over team radio at the end of the Russian GP. He had some choice words to say about the steward’s decision to give Kevin Magnussen a time penalty over a track limits violation during the race at Sochi.
