McLaren have announced their driver line-up for next week’s four days of pre-season testing in Barcelona.
Off the back of the launch of their Renault-powered MCL34 on Thursday, McLaren have announced their planned driver line-up for testing next week. All the teams can take part in eight days of pre-season group testing spread out over two weeks.
For the first week, scheduled from the 18th to the 21st of February, McLaren will only use their race drivers Carlos Sainz & Lando Norris. Test and reserve driver Sergio Sette Camara doesn’t feature in their plans for the important initial running.
Day 1 on Monday sees Carlos Sainz given the honour of shaking down the MCL34 at the Circuit de Catalunya, before the Spaniard hands over to his new teammate Lando Norris for Day 2. Sainz is back at the wheel for Day 3, with Norris driving the final day on Thursday.
The planned line-up for the second test is not yet announced.
