McLaren have become the eighth team to unveil their 2019 Formula One car, the McLaren Renault MCL34.
In a launch event at McLaren’s headquarters in Woking, the team displayed their latest car which they hope will aid their push to return to the sharp end of the grid. Following the theme set by many of the other teams, digital renderings were also published, which have more of the 2019 design features.
The team will continue with their main ‘papaya orange’ colour, but will feature some additional dark blue sections towards the shark fin, rear wing and front wing, standing out against the orange.
They will contest the 2019 season with an all-new driver line-up of Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris.
In their first season with Renault power, they struggled to match the more-established Renault teams, Red Bull and the works Renault team.
With a full season behind them, they will undoubtedly be setting higher targets for themselves as they bid to make their way through the midfield pack.
