The new Aston Martin Red Bull Racing RB14 has been launched, and sports an eye-catching interim livery.
The new RBR has been unveiled at a filming day, with Red Bull opting to shake down the new Aston Martin sponsored car at Silverstone.
Daniel Ricciardo took the wheel of the car on Monday, with the team aiming to use one of their two allocated filming days to iron out any initial snags with the car ahead of pre-season testing. Filming days are restricted to 100 kilometres total running distance, and must use special Pirelli tyres specifically for this purpose.
The livery shown is not the final livery the team will use this year, with RBR set to show off their actual paint scheme next week at testing. It’s not the first time they’ve opted to launch with an interim livery – 2014 saw them launch the ‘Camo-Bull’, an unusual black and white livery that was very like what road car manufacturers use to make the shape of their cars difficult to discern.
