Renault completed a successful filming day at the Circuit de Ctalunya in Spain on Saturday.
The new car from Renault was unveiled during the week.
Immediately despatched to the Spanish circuit for pre-season testing, which begins on Monday, the team opted to use one of their two allocated filming days on Saturday. Filming days have become prime opportunities for teams to carry out initial shakedowns of their cars, ironing out any early problems that could result in lost testing time.
Both Nico Hulkenberg and Carlos Sainz got the chance to drive the new car over the course of the permitted 100 kilometres track time.
With Red Bull, Haas, Mercedes, Toro Rosso, Sauber, McLaren and now Renault already carrying out a filming day this week, just Williams, Ferrari and Force India are left to carry out their first laps with their new cars. Ferrari are due to use up their first filming day on Sunday at Catalunya.
