The Toro Rosso team have announced their launch date for their 2019 F1 car; they’re now the first team to launch for the new season.
The Italian based Toro Rosso team have announced that they will launch their 2019 F1 car on the 11th February.
Taking to social media, the Red Bull junior team released a teaser video for the STR14. Their scheduled date is the earliest release of any of this year’s cars so far.
The team go into 2019 with a new driver pairing, although with one familiar face. Daniil Kvyat, having driven for Toro Rosso on two separate occasions in the past, returns yet again. The Russian driver has been teamed up with British/Thai racer Alex Albon. The former F2 frontrunner had signed a deal to race with Nissan in Formula E but sought a way out of that contract when Red Bull came knocking.
The STR14 will be powered by Honda, the second year for the partnership, but the first in which the main Red Bull team also run the Japanese marque’s power unit.
