Testing – F1 2018’s final day of official testing comes to a close on Wednesday, with one day of track action at the Hungaroring.
The final official day of testing for the 2018 season is on Wednesday, with eight hours of scheduled run time at the Hungaroring. While there will be Pirelli tyre testing carried out between now and the end of the season, this is the last occasion where all the teams have the option of taking part in an official test.
Antonio Giovinazzi ended Day 1 as fastest man for Ferrari, but hands over the SF71-H to Kimi Raikkonen for Day 2. Giovinazzi, instead, takes over the Sauber. Robert Kubica is also in action, taking over driving duties of the Williams from Day 1 driver Oliver Rowland.
Toro Rosso are running Day 1 Pirelli tester Sean Gelael, who brought out the red flags with an afternoon crash on Tuesday.
Renault are fielding Formula 2’s Artem Markelov, while Aston Martin Blancpain driver and Red Bull simulator developer driver Jake Dennis is at the wheel of the RB14 for the second time, following his debut for Red Bull Racing at the in-season test in Barcelona in May.
Pirelli tyre testing is being carried out using a Toro Rosso again, and Brendon Hartley & Pierre Gasly are sharing this duty throughout the day.
