Monaco Grand Prix – McLaren and Sauber have both signed new sponsors to start the Monte Carlo weekend.
McLaren have signed a deal with FXPro, a London based foreign exchange brokerage. The team say that the deal will run for several years and that, from the Monaco Grand Prix onwards, the MCL33 will feature prominent branding on the car.
They have also signed a deal with existing partner Sparco, that sees the racewear manufacturer continue to make the team’s gear until at least 2021. Their first partnership dates back to 1996. Stoffel Vandoorne has become a brand ambassador for Sparco with the announcement of this agreement, and will help with R&D for the company in future products such as racing gloves/boots etc.
Sauber have also signed a new deal. Axitea, an Italian cyber security firm, have signed a deal that will see their branding featured on the floorline and sidepod of the C37. The team, since going into partnership with Alfa Romeo, have seen their sponsorship portfolio increase with the added financial stability and increased competitiveness seeming to reassure potential clients. Axitea join the likes of Richard Mille, Claro, Carrera and Thomann on their car.
