Daniel Abt claimed the fastest time in a competitive non-qualifying practice two ahead of team-mate Lucas di Grassi.
The Audi Sport driver – who was disqualified from his race-winning drive in Hong Kong – claimed top spot in the dying moments of an increasingly-foggy second practice session in Marrakesh.
Abt’s time of 1:19.760 was just over one tenth of a second ahead of di Grassi and Renault e.dams’ Sebastien Buemi.
In the final session before qualifying, the Jaguar team placed Mitch Evans and Nelson Piquet – who clipped the wall en route to his best time – in the top five, whilst DS Virgin Racing’s Alex Lynn finished less than half a second off the pace in sixth.

Formula E returnee Jose-Maria Lopez claimed a surprise seventh place for the Dragon Racing team, ahead of Mahindra Racing’s Felix Rosenqvist – whose lap time was hindered by traffic – and Techeetah’s Jean-Eric Vergne and Andre Lotterer.
Venturi’s practice one technical issues were put down to a software problem. This was fixed in time for second practice and both Eduardo Mortara and Maro Engel completed trouble-free sessions, placing 12th and 17th respectively.
With all drivers attempting qualifying simulations, there were non-damaging driver errors for the likes of Felix Rosenqvist, Nelson Piquet and Antonio Felix da Costa.
