Montreal ePrix – Lucas di Grassi says he is not feeling any pressure ahead of the Formula E championship finale double header.
The ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport driver goes into the final two rounds with a ten-point deficit to Renault e.dams’ Sebastien Buemi in the championship, despite the Swiss racer missing the two New York rounds.
“I think one of the reasons I’m ten points behind is Seb didn’t do New York,” di Grassi said.
“This season has been different to last season, he won most of the races he did. We definitely struggled a lot more compared to season two with getting results, and the level of the whole field became much stronger so there was more competition on our side.
“We are the underdogs, we have very little to lose but a lot to gain. The pressure is not on me.”
Buemi, who has won six out of the eight races he has competed in this season, says that he will not change his mentality for the finale.
“It’s a season finale, of course we want to win but I don’t try to think anything that won’t affect my performance in a good way,” he said.
“I try to look at it like the other races. We know when we get things right we are up there in terms of performance.”
