Rosenqvist fastest in final Montreal practice – FP2 Report

Montreal ePrix – Felix Rosenqvist was fastest in the final practice session ahead of the season finale ahead of title contender Sebastien Buemi.

The Mahindra driver set the fastest time of the weekend with a 1:21.183, a tenth of a second ahead of Buemi.

Championship leader Lucas di Grassi was just ninth in the session and seven tenths of a second off the pace after making a mistake on his 200kW lap.

Jose Maria Lopez was once again ahead of his DS Virgin team mate Sam Bird in third and fourth respectively, split by three hundredths of a second.

Loic Duval was a surprise fifth for Dragon, after an off at the Turn 11/12 chicane, ahead of Daniel Abt who had light contact with Nico Prost early in the session when the Renault e.dams driver went past into Turn 1. Prost damaged his front wing in the incident.

Abt was ahead of Oliver Turvey and Jean-Eric Vergne, split by less than two hundredths of a second. Prost finished the session tenth.

Mitch Evans was 11th for Jaguar, just under a second off the pace but ended the session narrowly avoiding the barriers at Turn 2 after he locked up into the corner.

After contact with Duval in FP1, Nelson Piquet Jr. had more drama when the NextEV driver spun into Turn 11 and nudged the wall with his front wing.
