Paris ePrix – Lucas di Grassi was fastest in FP2 during the qualifying simulations with a time of 1:01.359, having started the session with a close call with the Turn 1 barriers.
He was just under three hundredths of a second quicker than the fastest time from last year’s year, set in the same session by Mike Conway, and was two tenths clear of Jose Maria Lopez in second.
Sebastien Buemi was third, and only two hundredths behind Lopez. A further hundredth back was Daniel Abt.
Sam Bird was fifth fastest, a quarter of a second off the pace, ahead of Felix Rosenqvist who led most of the session in sixth. Nico Prost was seventh ahead of Oliver Turvey, who goes into qualifying with a 10-place grid penalty for changing his E-motor.
Jean-Eric Vergne was ninth with Robin Frijns rounding out the top ten.
Esteban Gutierrez had more time in the escape roads at he locked up going into the first corner, similar to di Grassi and Abt in FP1. He ended the session in 12th. Adam Carroll did the same, and was slowest for the second session in a row.
Mike Conway, standing in for Loic Duval who is racing in DTM this weekend, had a spin at the final corner and narrowly avoided the barriers. He finished the session in 16th place.
