With testing beginning on Monday, Williams have released more images of their new FW40.
The team released teaser shots of the car on social media last week, but have now shown off their new car from every angle.
The new car, designated the FW40 to celebrate the team’s 40 years in F1, is set to hit the track on Monday in the hands of Felipe Massa.
Massa will share this coming week’s testing duties with new signing Lance Stroll, who arrives at the team following the departure of Valtteri Bottas to Mercedes.
The new car features a prominent shark fin, as well as wider front and rear wings as per the new technical regulations
New sponsor
Williams have also signed a new sponsor, in the form of construction equipment manufacturer JCB. Their branding will appear on the car’s chassis and rear wing end plates.
Deputy Team Principal Claire Williams said: “We are delighted to welcome JCB to our family of partners. Engineering and innovation are also at the core of everything we do, which makes this partnership one of shared values and aspirations.
As two great British brands, we share a similar drive to continually push boundaries and not rest on our laurels in our desire to be the best. I know this will be a successful partnership for both our brands and I look forward to embarking on this journey with such a prestigious brand as JCB.”
